Veteran Calendar

Honoring our veterans, those that have chosen to give everything to this country, is a tradition that I am very proud of for this country.  That is why I love things like this Vietnam calendar.  It recognizes the scarfices men made for this country and to bring freedom to the darkest reaches of the planet.  This calendar is perfect for those that went to the war and those that just want to remember it.

Will Hugo Chavez Release Power?

In Venezuela there is a election coming up that is going to decide if Hugo Chavez is really as good to the people of his country that he claims he is.  This is the election that decided whether or not he can be president.  The famously, anti-American president is not doing too well in his own country and the citizens understand that this is their time to bring someone to power that is more for the people and of the people.  What I love about this is that when he loses (assuming he doesn't rig the election), it is going to show how awful he is because he won't want to leave office.  He claims that we are evil and devils because we live in a great country like the USA, but he is the real evil-doer and is going to get a taste of what democracy is really like, I can't wait.

Memorable Qoutes

Time Magazine put together an interesting list of qoutes from presidents that don't necessarly reflect them in the best light.  Of course there are some classics on here like Nixon's "I am not a crook,"  but the real ringer to me is Bill Clinton's "I did not have sexual relations with that woman."  Why is the best of the entire list?  Well because it is a flat out lie.  While qoutes from the likes of Nixon where lies, they were really half-truths since he understood how to play the game.  Clinton was different, he was smug and believed he wouldn't get caught and that is why he abused his power like he did.  Because of this abuse by a democrat I feel that we aren't far off from seeing the same thing from Obama.  Maybe next year there will be a qoute list with Obama's name at the top of it.

Conservatives against the Bailout

I have said this once before and I feel that this thing needs to be said again - as a fundamental part of conservative values, we must be opposed to the bail out.  This bailout goes against everything we believe in, it basically strangles the invisible hand of capitalist markets and by doing so it destroys our chance (yours and mine) at having a part of the American Dream (because it will no longer exist).  I urge everyone to message their congressmen and senator to tell them how much you disapprove of the bailout.  The more that is uncovered on the bailout, the more dangerous and awful it is going to be for this country.  We must stop it.

Paling and GOP Governers Conference

I really enjoyed what Palin had to say at the governers conference.  She really spoke to the fact that the governers on the GOP side were really about passing laws in their states that really represented the people and not Washington political agendas.  She also said that the states need to set an example of cutting spending to prove that it can be done in all levels of government.  I think this is so right on.  Small government that works for the people is what our party was founded on and we need to be true to these roots if we are going to be sure to be the party that takes back the white house and senate races in 2010 and 2012

Golfing Holiday Card

So now that we are in the early weeks of November it is time to send holiday cards to friends and family to let them know what you've been up to this year.  Usually, my wife and I send a card together that is something she picks out from the store.  But this year we thought it would be fun to send different holiday cards to our friends and family.  So she is sending a normal holiday card to the family and I am going to send this golfing holiday card to my friends.  We all love to golf and I think that winter gets us all down as we look at our clubs and wish for a greener day.  See below for a holiday card that is a must for all the golfers in the world.

The Concession Speech - Moving Forward

Well I think that I have finally come to grips with the loss on Tuesday and I think that we need to move forward as a party to make sure that this nation is successful in fixing all the crises that present themselves to this great country.  I will get behind what the government needs us to do for now.  However, I think we need to take this time and rebuild our party.  We need to get back to our roots of small government, fierce personal freedoms and strong values.  That is the party I joined and I think that we have strayed from this in the last few years.  It is time that we as conservatives start to practice what our name really means and get back to the basics.

The Eve of the Election

Tonight is the night before one of the largest election races I can ever remember.  This race has been bigger than anything ever before in terms of cost and media spend by both of the candidates and it comes down to what tomorrow is - Election Day.  I hope that we have all done enough to make sure that this country is put back onto the right track with McCain as president and Palin as his VP.  I pray for the safety of this country and the delivery of it into the right hands of the right party.

Obama Supports Illegals

There is nothing that more clearly points out what Obama is going to do to this country as President than what he currently does with his family. Right now, in Boston, Obama has an aunt from his father's side of the family illegally living in the US. She is not a citizen and does not hold a valid green card. If this doesn't point to the destruction and lack of respect Obama has for this country's laws I don't know what does. I don't believe that he didn't know is his aunt was living in the US. I mean come on! A aunt is very close family and I sure this is something he has known for a long time but decided to keep from the public. His lack policy of illegal immigration as evidence by his aunt is just another example of the danger an Obama presidency would put this country in.

Socialist Attack on our Ideals

It bothers me that so many people are starting to get behind the socialist-economic strategies of Obama.  People think that by taking from those that have built the financial and business systems of the world that we are going to have success in the economy and world?  Of course not!  Those people have built the systems that have made this country what it is today we cannot give their income and investment power to those that do not even understand this country enough to survive without government assistence.  Now is the time for logical thinking, not this crazy socialist form of goverment, now is the time for McCain.

Campaign in Battle Ground States

The Election is very close, in terms of date but also in terms of candidates.  We need to make sure that we all do everything we can to bring the straight talk express into the White House and put this country back on the righteous path.  We all need to call friends, beat the streets and make sure that everyone who votes for McCain is going to be going to the polls.  If you live in a battle ground state you need to make sure you can help disabled people get to the polls, or call friends that are on the fence about voting.  The time is now and every vote counts.  We need to make sure this election goes the correct way.

Anti-Obama Bumperstick - Spread the Opportunity

We, as the conservative and logical believers of Regan era economics cannot allow the socialist principles of Obama to seep into the mainstream and infect the American Dream beyond all recovery.  It truly sickens me that people are thinking about redistributing wealth like that is going to fix the invest structure and wealth of the economy.  We need to do what we can to stop the spread of this redistribution of income.  That's why I recommend getting this bumper sticker to spread the the TRUTH about what Obama is really proposing.

Yes on California Prop 8

Prop 8 in California is the proposition to ban gay marriage once and for all.  This is something we need so that we can protect marriage as keeping it between a man and a woman.  I feel pity for those that are gay and I want to have programs to get them help, but I don't think we should ever do something to accept what these people have become through social pressuring.  There is some room for understanding, but we need to help these people find the right path in their lives and banning gay marriage is the first step in that process.

Palin on SNL

So I rarely up late enough to watch SNL but was last night to see what they would do to mock Palin as she tried to fight the liberal writers of the show.  It was interesting to see her interact with the people that mock her on a nightly basis.  They had no class as they openly made fun of her right to her face showing that they only give respect to the people they like, not everyone like a good Christian is taught.  I was appauld that she wasn't even given a chance speak much other than a few lines they threw her here and there.  One thing that I will say is that she held herself really well against these elitists and was able to show the class and grace that she will bring to the office of Vice President.

Obama Camp - Race is a Key Issue

It annoys me to see articles on websites like CNN and CBS about the race issue.  They claim that Obama is try to fight the supposed racism of this campaign and bring equality.  But the real question is where is all this racism that they are talking about?  That's right, it doesn't exist.  Instead the Obama campaign is using his race to keep Obama's name top of mind and make voters feel sorry for him because he is at a supposed disadvantage.  This is not the case, Obama is pulling the wool over independant voter eyes with false claims of racism at my party.  People, now is the time to wake up and see the lies for what they are.  Now is the time to vote for the honesty that McCain represents.
