Gitmo Had the right man - liberals let him go

I just read a very interesting article on Reuters today that told about how a former Gitmo inmate is now free and leading the Taliban efforts in Afghanistan.  This is great work liberals!  We had the right man and you all let him go because there wasn't enough of the crap evidence that you needed to see.  Now he is killing American soldiers with training and more information that he probably got from his counter parts in Gitmo.  It's like we just made him a better criminal by letting him go.  And what does this say to the other terrorist.  It says that we are weak and that if you push us hard we will back down.  This is the exact kind of fuel terrorist cells need to continue attacking American targets.  Good job Obama and Congress you've succeed and putting more Americans in harms way.  Here is the article (http://www.google.com/hostednews/ap/article/ALeqM5gepueqQ9a2V5zxXES7DoGnVhSFHwD96REDRO0)

Woods could lose No. 1 spot

With his eight month absence from the game Tiger Woods left a vacuum in the hearts of all golfing fans around the world and it is sad to see his comeback when he is not at full strength.  I know that Tiger will get better and hopefully return to the task of taking over the record of most majors won from the Golden Bear.  However, I don't really like the idea of Sergio Garcia about to take over the no. 1 spot.  I would be fine if Woods lost it to another American like Vijay Sing or Phil, but to this Spainard I think not.  I think that Woods needs to rest, and I think it is time for other American golfers to shoulder some of the burden and continue to bring honor to the US golfing name.

Arnold on the US Infrastructure

Below is a video of the governor of California talking about land use and how to build infrastructure in a way that is supposedly good for the for the planet.  Please take a look and we can discuss below.

What Arnold says is very interesting and there are some nuggets in there, but how he is proposing it is all backwards. The more we invest into public transit the less infrastructure we will actually have. We need new roads and highway infrastructure because those are the things that actually get people to A and B and also get goods from A to B. How are all the truckers of the US going to deliver goods on a train? No, that just doesn't work, we can't get trains to the place that trucks can and get people the things they need. Instead we should implement a system nationwide similar to tollways in the East Coast. Those that use the road more must pay for it. This way the infrastructure of the country is a self-sustained business and those that cannot afford to use it will find alternative transport thus making subways and trains sustainable business. There is no need for direct investment from the government to maintain an infrastructure in this country, we just need to hand it over to private corporations and they can manage it as a for-profit program, that is how we can save US infrastructure.

Anti Obama Policies Bumper Stickers

So of course people like me that are unhappy with the semi-socialist policies of Obama have started to lash out with great/funny products that make fun of our current president and the fact that is actually destroying the American Dream.  I mean look at what he is doing with taxes, he is basically telling people that you should never strive to be the best that you can be because the government will just punish you for that.  Anyway, I found these two bumper stickers and I thought it was worthing sharing since I am sure every conservative car in the country will soon be sporting these, at least you know that you saw them here first :).

The Rocky Mountains Ring No More

This past week was the first week to mark a sad trend that is starting across the entire country.  The first of the major papers, The Rocky Mountain News, closed its doors with nearly 150 years of operation under its belt.  It is a sad day for that community but it is even sader for the rest of this great country.  What is our society coming to when people care to get more information from twitter or even my blog than they do from a newspaper?  I know that newspapers have sometimes been considered liberal, but it is the most reliable and portable source of information there is.  If everyone in this society read a paper once a week there would be so much more information and understanding of what is going on in the world (and Jay Leno wouldn't have so many people for his segments).  We need papers to educated our young people.  The more education they have, the better chance they will understand the mess liberals make and the powers of small government.  I know that all it took was an education to make sure I understood that I can manage my life and I don't need someone in a suit to do it for me.

Bobby Jindal - How do I feel?

So it is no secret that the decision makers in our Republican party are trying to groom the Mr. Rogers like personality of Bobby Jindal into something bigger, maybe even a run at the White House in 2012.  But I am not sure how I feel about that.  It feels like we are just trying to copy what the democrats did with Obama this year instead of doing something that is true to our party.  I mean I really don't know anything about Jindal, but what about the congressial Republicans we have had in office for multiple terms that know how Washington works?  I mean we need someone with more experience in government.  I am going to start reading more on Jindal to see how he is doing, but I think it is much too soon to promote someone so young.

Egypt is not safe

Egypt as a country has spent lots of money and time trying to make people believe it is a safe place for tourists and to hold on to sanity in the middle east.  However I feel that the country's grip on the region is slipping and that northern part of Africa is slipping into decay like the rest of the countries around it.  It is sad really because they were so moderate and moving toward a more democratic system like what we cherish in the US.  I hope that after today's attacks that they will look for more guidance from the US in helping them turn around their country.  We have helped others in the past and I know that we can help make Egypt safe for all.

The NY Post Cartoon is not Racist

This is what happens when you get a bunch of over sensitive liberals running the country, you get the NAACP claiming racism when there is none to be had. The theory is that the monkey is supposed to represent Obama and is therefore racist because that would be comparing a black man to a monkey. THE TRUTH is that the cartoon isn't about Obama's race is it about the insanity that the stimulus bill represents - the idea being that it is so convoluted a monkey must of wrote it. They are not saying Obama is a monkey they are instead saying that the legislation is a monkey. I don't know why liberals always need to make a big deal out of the littlest things. I mean seriously? Is this what we really need to be spending our time on?

Ted and Sarah for 2012 coffee mug

As many of my readers have noted I am not into the idea of a stimulus plan so of course today was not a good day for me and I think today is an even worse day for the country since we won't be able to pull ourselves out of this recession and will just waste more money on boondoggle big democratic government projects.  That is why when I saw this mug I just had to smile and hope for the future.  It's a mug of Ted Nugent and Sarah Palin Ticket for 2012.  I am not sure I would support that election ticket, but at least I got a good laugh out of it and I am sure it would be a lot better than the current administration.

Remove Roland Burris

It is obvious to me that nothing good can come from the short term of the Jr. Senator from Illinois, Roland Burris.  Whether or not he will admit it, he had something to do with the scandal surrounding the now deposed governor of the state.  There had to be some underground trading and illegal exchanges of money because Rod was so very corrupt that he would not let that senate seat go for nothing.  I am sure that Burris will deny and deny until the day of his conviction, I just hope that justice can be served and changes can be made in this corruption within the democratic party.  As much as I don't like the democrats, I don't like the idea of government being corrupt more.

Obama's Stimulus Plan

So Obama was able to force his stimulus through the congress and now we are going to be footing the bill on all kinds of democratic boondoggles as they try to "jump start" this economy with concrete and roads. I really don't like this idea and I am worried about all of my money that they are spending and not helping this country get any better. Why is it that Democrats always do something like this? Not help the world, but instead just through money at it uselessly. I do hope that this economic plan works, but I know that it won't because it is just not designed to bring people out of the terrible crushing debt, but only give money to more government wasteful programs. Obama it is time to really pull from the right side of the aisle to make sure we get some business men getting the world to drive business again.

Too Much Spending in the Stimulus Plan

I gotta say that there is just a bit too much of pork spending in the Obama plan.  I've been saying all along that spending is not the fiscally correct way to bring this country out of the recession that we are in.  What we need to do is empower the everyday citizen to bring this country around.  If the government wasn't crippling us with taxes we would have that income to go out and spend, start small businesses and generate jobs.  It is really that simple.  Give the power back to the people and that will allow this country to once again become a capitolist free market that can grow with the ingenuity of all American power!

Corruption Runs Deep in Dem Party

From Daschle to every other member of the Democratic Party it seems that corruption runs deep with these ones. I have to smile a little bit because now that the Dems are thrust into the limelight everyone is starting to find all their dirty little secrets and exposing them for the frauds that they are. I think it is great and I have to wonder what secrets reside in Obama's closet that are going to come out when someone starts to dig into his past...

The Steel Town Pittsburgh Hat

That was a great game!  I was really gunning for the Steelers because of the tradition and family honor that the Rooney family brings to the game, but I really was just blown away by the nail-biting action in it.  It's been a long time since I can say that I've watched a football game the whole way through and this was one of those games.  Well I guess it hasn't been that long, really since the last superbowl, but that is at least a year.  Now the Pittsburgh Steelers have made history as the first team with 6 titles.  That's impressive in it's own right, but in a league with parity built in, that is a magical accomplishment.  Anyway, I saw this hat and I thought that there are probably 100,000 in Pittsburgh wearing this hat very proudly and very coldy right now.

Voting - Progress in Iraq

To me there is nothing more reassuring than the elections that are happening in Iraq this week to prove that we have done a good job in bringing peace and democracy to that country. I know that it is a long road for those people and for our troops, but we are seeing the fruits of our labors in that country and very soon that country will be a shining example of democracy in the Middle East for other countries to aspire to and look to for advice and growth. I really think that the Bush policies enacted to bring about these changes will really bring democracy to the traditionally feudal Middle East.
