Navy SEALs are Awesome

I just gotta say that the rescuing of the captain from the pirates in Eastern African waters was 100% due to the excellent training and skill of our Navy SEALs.  I mean to be able to have three snippers able to do an attack like that on a boat, in the cover of night is just the highest level of skill that I can think of.  I mean the french tried to do something similar and ended up getting the hostages killed.  So kudos to the Navy SEALs for their excellent work they are truly an American force to recon with.

More Pirates!

To me, this is just getting out of hand.  How can a small team of pirates, or multiple small teams of pirates cause so much human and financial damage to the world.  We need to force the Semolians to work harded to stop pirates from operating from their countries and international waters.  Either that, or the US should have a 0 tolerance policy and attack any un-identified vessels in those waters. That would stop pirating pretty quickly.

Italian Earthquake

My heart goes out to all those that have been effected by the recent Earthquake in Italy.  It is a terrible thing to have no control over the impact of the world on your life and to lose those that were very close to you.  I hope that Italy has a quick recovery financially and that their hearts heal over time.  God bless all of you.

The Korean Rocket Launch

The Obama administration needs to be doing more to protect us from the Korean rocket launch potential. This is why having a spineless democrat in office will do no good for protecting this country from its enemies. We need a president that would go and set up bases on the border with N. Korea to show our strength and scare the N. Koreans into backing down. This is something that Obama is too afraid to do but something Bush would have done handily. So that is why we need a republican back in office and not a democrat.

Silent No More: Tea Party T-shirts and bumperstickers

If you're someone like me and don't really enjoy the idea of the organized form of socialism that Obama is starting to bring to this country then you might be interested in the Tea Party Movement.  Basically it is a modern revolt against our government and it's practices that will happen on 4/15 (tax day).  This is the power of the people to revolt over the dangerous decisions being made for us in the government.  I am excited by this movement and our right to protest so I thought I would share these products below.

Golf Hazards We all need to avoid

Well the weather is getting nicer and Tiger is back in form so I have to do a little talking about the sport of kings, golf.  It is time to break out those clubs and start warming up your swing because before you know it the links will be full of people and all of them with a better handicap than you.  But before you get out there, you should read this article to make sure you've got your game down and also are avoiding some of the more uncommon hazards of the course.  Of course this is mostly a joke, but so is your back-swing!  HA!

The Drug War in Mexico

The drug war in Mexico is out of hand and it seems that the Democrats that are controlling congress and the White House are doing nothing about it other than blaming US Citizen for our drug habits. I mean seriously let's destroy the source before we start blaming people in the US for all the violence around the world. The Mexicans need to take all that money we give them and start to crack down on these gangs and cartels.

Europe Wants to Castrate Sex Offenders

Pictured above, a sex criminal in Europe

Europe is currently debating whether or not they want to castrate sex offenders to keep them from repeating their crimes.  Personally, I think this is a great idea and shows that Europe isn't as soft as I thought they were.  Sex crimes are almost as bad as murder and actually one could argue that they are worst than murder because they leave the victim alive to live with the pain and suffering.  I think that outside of killing sex criminals castration is a great alternative because if they haven't used their privates properly they have lost the right to keep them.

Bobby Jindal Custom T-shirt

I really like Bobby Jindal, the Governor from Louisiana.  I think that he is well spoken, smart and good representative of the new Republican party.  So is it too early to start talking about his run for the White House in 2012?  Probably, but who cares!  The economy is in shambles and there is nothing else bright in our future to focus on so I will focus on the campaign run for Jindal in 2012.  The first thing we all need to do is start the merchandise war like Obama did last year.  So here is my first purchase in the pursuit for the Presidency for Jindal.

Seattle Paper is No More in Print World

Another paper has bit the dust (kind of) and is removing it's print edition in favor of a online only edition. This is a very interesting move and if it works I am sure that you will see lots of papers go this direction in the very near future. Why? Well because it cuts down on overhead and allows them to have a healthy operating margin even in these down economic times. Is it good? Who knows....but the truth is that this is the direction the world is going like it or not. Someday we will reach down to get the sunday paper off the stoop and there will be nothing there. That day may seem long off, but the recent economic crisis will surely push the country a few steps further in that direction.

Gitmo Had the right man - liberals let him go

I just read a very interesting article on Reuters today that told about how a former Gitmo inmate is now free and leading the Taliban efforts in Afghanistan.  This is great work liberals!  We had the right man and you all let him go because there wasn't enough of the crap evidence that you needed to see.  Now he is killing American soldiers with training and more information that he probably got from his counter parts in Gitmo.  It's like we just made him a better criminal by letting him go.  And what does this say to the other terrorist.  It says that we are weak and that if you push us hard we will back down.  This is the exact kind of fuel terrorist cells need to continue attacking American targets.  Good job Obama and Congress you've succeed and putting more Americans in harms way.  Here is the article (http://www.google.com/hostednews/ap/article/ALeqM5gepueqQ9a2V5zxXES7DoGnVhSFHwD96REDRO0)

Woods could lose No. 1 spot

With his eight month absence from the game Tiger Woods left a vacuum in the hearts of all golfing fans around the world and it is sad to see his comeback when he is not at full strength.  I know that Tiger will get better and hopefully return to the task of taking over the record of most majors won from the Golden Bear.  However, I don't really like the idea of Sergio Garcia about to take over the no. 1 spot.  I would be fine if Woods lost it to another American like Vijay Sing or Phil, but to this Spainard I think not.  I think that Woods needs to rest, and I think it is time for other American golfers to shoulder some of the burden and continue to bring honor to the US golfing name.

Arnold on the US Infrastructure

Below is a video of the governor of California talking about land use and how to build infrastructure in a way that is supposedly good for the for the planet.  Please take a look and we can discuss below.

What Arnold says is very interesting and there are some nuggets in there, but how he is proposing it is all backwards. The more we invest into public transit the less infrastructure we will actually have. We need new roads and highway infrastructure because those are the things that actually get people to A and B and also get goods from A to B. How are all the truckers of the US going to deliver goods on a train? No, that just doesn't work, we can't get trains to the place that trucks can and get people the things they need. Instead we should implement a system nationwide similar to tollways in the East Coast. Those that use the road more must pay for it. This way the infrastructure of the country is a self-sustained business and those that cannot afford to use it will find alternative transport thus making subways and trains sustainable business. There is no need for direct investment from the government to maintain an infrastructure in this country, we just need to hand it over to private corporations and they can manage it as a for-profit program, that is how we can save US infrastructure.

Anti Obama Policies Bumper Stickers

So of course people like me that are unhappy with the semi-socialist policies of Obama have started to lash out with great/funny products that make fun of our current president and the fact that is actually destroying the American Dream.  I mean look at what he is doing with taxes, he is basically telling people that you should never strive to be the best that you can be because the government will just punish you for that.  Anyway, I found these two bumper stickers and I thought it was worthing sharing since I am sure every conservative car in the country will soon be sporting these, at least you know that you saw them here first :).

The Rocky Mountains Ring No More

This past week was the first week to mark a sad trend that is starting across the entire country.  The first of the major papers, The Rocky Mountain News, closed its doors with nearly 150 years of operation under its belt.  It is a sad day for that community but it is even sader for the rest of this great country.  What is our society coming to when people care to get more information from twitter or even my blog than they do from a newspaper?  I know that newspapers have sometimes been considered liberal, but it is the most reliable and portable source of information there is.  If everyone in this society read a paper once a week there would be so much more information and understanding of what is going on in the world (and Jay Leno wouldn't have so many people for his segments).  We need papers to educated our young people.  The more education they have, the better chance they will understand the mess liberals make and the powers of small government.  I know that all it took was an education to make sure I understood that I can manage my life and I don't need someone in a suit to do it for me.
