Rest Well Tony Snow

Today Tony Snow, former White House Press Secretary, lost his fight against colon cancer and passed away early in the morning.  Mr. Snow was an avid conservative pundit and I always remember him best for not having an issue taking on liberal reporters or commentators.  He had a passion for the party that was unparalleled by anyone I have seen.  It is a sad day for American Politics and the people they serve.  Rest in peace Mr. Snow.

Dems bow to Bush!

Today the Democrats finally broke down and came to the realization that protecting this nation is more important than anything else than can pass legislation on. I know that some people are worried about losing civil liberties, but that is just not the case. The case is that we need laws like FISA to make sure we can spy on those that need to be spied on. Do you silly liberals really think that an FBI agent cares about your personal phone conversation about you cheating on your wife? As sad as that is, they have bigger fish to fry so don't worry so much. I think this t-shirts speaks my mind well.

Jim Webb Makes a good move

Jim Webb, senator from Virginia, has pulled himself from Obama's potential VP list citing that he would like to continue to serve people better in the US Senate. I think we all know what that really means. Webb understands that Obama is already killing himself by making poor campaign decisions and that he is on a gravy train down. Webb is smart, he doesn't want his good name to be associated with that problem. Anyway I think that Webb, even thought he has recently become a dem, is still a good man. I think of him as a young McCain and I could see him as a future president.

Firework Blast out!

So I happened to be on the riverfront for the fireworks display two nights ago and it was truly an experience that brought tears to my eyes.  First off, I hadn't seen fireworks in a long time so I was amazed at the interesting things they've added like ones that look like golden rain in the sky.  But what really got me going was when a boat started playing "Born in the USA" right at the end as they grand-finale of fireworks was going off. It was just so beautiful.  Happy Independence Day everyone!

Right to choose is not the same as the death penalty

Some liberals may wonder how conservatives can both support the death penalty and be pro-life.  What they fail to realize is that it comes down to the simple fact of purity.  A baby is the most pure form of life that god has graced us with on this earth.  It is untainted by suffering, pain and completely open to the world.  Since it had not learned to reason it cannot make decisions for itself and since it has made no decisions it is so pure that it cannot be put at fault for anything.  Therefore, due to the lack of fault that babies have, they should never be slaughtered by unforgiving mothers because there is no causation for their slaughter.  This same rule applies to criminals but in the converse effect.  Criminals have had a lifetime to destroy themselves, others and generally bring pain and suffering into the world.  For that they should be brutally punished.  By punishing them it eliminates the harm in society (which makes it safer for those new souls coming into the world) and sets a new standard of fear for those that might also wish to commit a crime.    By the above logic, this is why it is accepted and preached to practice both the death penalty and be pro-life.

Obama Tempts Religious Vote

So Obama has started to spend some time looking into the Christian vote in the country because he sees that he needs some members of his voting population to be down to earth and have some morals.  So he has started to campaign for these groups, spending money on townhall meetings, commercials, and advertisements.  My question, Obama why are you wasting your time?  Until you switch your position on key issues like abortion, gun control, and religion and state not a single one of us will vote for you.  These are fundamental cores of our belief in a leading member of this country and since you have rejected our stance on these core principles you can be sure you will not get a single vote from the Christian population.  But, hey Obama, if you want to waste your money on me, that is fine. I am already used to tunning out the other 50% of smut on TV, I can tune you out too.

North Korea Finaling Getting Inline

Thanks to the strong hand of our current government, not the democrats in the senate, but the foreign policy team that the Bush Administration appointed, North Korea is now in line with our policy and making the world a safer place for everyone.  Don't know what I am talking about?  Well I am talking about the fact that N. Korea has decided to end its Nuclear program and because of that the US is now resuming trade with the country so that they can bring themselves out of economic hard times.  I think this is the best thing that could happen for the world, and thanks to Bush we have.  This is why I am in support of McCain because he is willing to keep a hard line policy with foreign issues unlike the Democrats canindate Obama

Fed Sures Up

So the Fed has finally decided to exercise some discretion and let the market fix itself instead of trying to create an inflationary nightmare by cutting interest rates again.  I just want to note that this is something Greenspan would have done weeks ago.  What does this mean?  Well it means that economy now has some time to clean out all the waste that was generated by the housing and credit crunch and can start anew at the bottom.  This also means that we won't see rampant inflation because borrowing money will still be set to a reasonable rate.  So instead of the economy recovering quickly and then plunging us into a huge cycle of inflation, the economy will recover more slowly, at a moderate place that way inflation can stay moderate and thus we will not be victim to the issues of cyclical economics and everyone will be happy.  Of course I know it will not happen quite like that, but it is nice to think that we are getting one step closer to the government taking a step back and letting the invisible hand right the issue with the US economy.

McCain is real climate change solutions

So McCain announced today that he is willing to offer 300 million dollar to whoever is able to come up with a solution to our dependence on foreign oil by coming up with a better battery for a fully electric car. This is great! McCain is taking action that is bring the US under it's own control and not dependent the dictators of 3rd world countries. Not only that he is offering a prize that rewards one of the greatest things in this country, American ingenuity. The liberals want to tax business and research into bankruptcy, but McCain knows that a capitalist economy runs on capitalism and what better way to reward someone that brings our country screaming into the future than with a real capitalist venture. Anyway, I like this direction I think it will bring the climate change that everyone yells about much quicker than a law or committee meeting. I bet right now there are hundreds of scientists drinking coffee and coming up with the best ideas they can to bring the the future of battery technology to this country.

My Momma Said No to Obama (and on a magnet)

I spoke with my mother yesterday and she even told me that she didn't trust the things that Obama was saying, and, as much as I hate to say this, she is typically a gullible person!  So to me that says a lot, I always listen to what my mother says (with a grain of salt) and when she doesn't trust someone it goes beyond politics for me, it goes to a matter of just humanitarian concern.  Here is the magnet I should get after the talk with my mother.

Obama Lies!

According to CNN (http://politicalticker.blogs.cnn.com/) , Obama has been lying to the McCain camp about whether or not he was going to accept public campaign funds and said that they had held meetings about, which they hadn’t! Pretty sad that the lies have already begun for Obama and the untruthful democrats, this is why I get annoyed with democratic politicians, because they seem great on the surface but when you dig down you see that they are worse than anyone else on the hill.

Gay Marriage - Enough already

Alright so I think it is about time that I put in my two cents about gay marriage and what is going on in California.  Personally I don't care that much about the homosexual community as long as it stays away from me and my family, but what I do care about is it imposing its rule of law onto the rest of the nation.  I don't really care what California does it will always be a liberal state in my mind and I have given up on it.  But what I do care about is the president that the ruling there sets for the rest of the nation.  Now states will be flooded with letters from Gay activist committees that will want gay marriage legalized in that state and this state.  Enough already! Is gay marriage more important for state legislature to discuss then solving the economic crisis?  Or making sure that every child has a proper education?  No.  That is why it should never be brought up, it is not worth the time to work on.  Just California making the country as a whole a little worse...

McCain and Guantanamo - Supreme Court Makes Worst Decision Ever

Well Mac said it right when he commented on the Supreme Court ruling last week about Gitmo.  Basically he told the Supreme Court that they rendered one of the worst verdicts in history.  I agree, what is worse that basically telling the terrorist of the world that there is nothing to fear, after only a few years in prison we will set you free to go and terrorize the rest of the world.  It just doesn't make sense to me, Gitmo was created to protect Americans, just like the government.  And yet our own people are tearing down the walls of Gitmo and by doing so leaving American's vulnerable and unguarded.  I hope that McCain's tenure in office will be able to silence some of those dissenting voices in the supposed Highest Courts...

Mac is tougher than nails – Bumper sticker

Some may think that the below bumper sticker is more a testament to his stubbornness than his character. I don’t agree, had he not been tough he wouldn’t be able to fight for his country and survive POW camps, or be tough on big government people within our own party, or work on difficult matters for foreign diplomacy, or even be tough enough to NOT fill our voting public’s head full of empty promises. Yeah, you’re right, McCain is one tough guy, a tough guythat is fighting to preserve our great nation and grow it to a new level of prosperity no one has ever seen before.
