Some liberals may wonder how conservatives can both support
the death penalty and be pro-life. What
they fail to realize is that it comes down to the simple fact of purity. A baby is the most pure form of life that god
has graced us with on this earth. It is
untainted by suffering, pain and completely open to the world. Since it had not learned to reason it cannot
make decisions for itself and since it has made no decisions it is so pure that
it cannot be put at fault for anything.
Therefore, due to the lack of fault that babies have, they should never
be slaughtered by unforgiving mothers because there is no causation for their
slaughter. This same rule applies to
criminals but in the converse effect. Criminals
have had a lifetime to destroy themselves, others and generally bring pain and
suffering into the world. For that they
should be brutally punished. By
punishing them it eliminates the harm in society (which makes it safer for those
new souls coming into the world) and sets a new standard of fear for those that
might also wish to commit a crime. By the above logic, this is why it is
accepted and preached to practice both the death penalty and be pro-life.
