2 hole in ones

Some day I hope to be like Bob Hickey who made two hole in ones back to back while playing a round of 18 last week.  Pretty amazing and probably just luck, but I wouldn’t mind getting lucky like that, especially since my short game has been so terrible lately.

Here is the news article

McCain’s VP Announcement

So there has been a lot of talk that McCain may announce his VP this week or next and I just want to update everyone on someone that I didn’t think would make it into consideration but now who seems to be a front runner. That of course is Mitt Romney. I really thought that he was just a little too Mormon to do the job but he has excellent experience with economic issues and has a good strong wholesome image that pulls in some of the groups that McCain’s middle ground might turn away. Honestly, it wouldn’t be the first person I would choose if I was McCain but I can see the draw of a Romney McCain ticket. Maybe it’s just that winning smile that seems to pull McCain in…

Protect our Borders Mug

So I think we need to make sure that we protect our borders. The more we can do to make sure that America stays for Americans the better. This country is good for immigrants but they need to come into this country legally to make sure that everyone is safe. I recently heard that an illegal immigrant in San Francisco just killed a father and his son. This is a terrible tradegty that could have been avoided if border security was a top priority for the democratic congress.

Bush has right to Priviledged Information

Lots of talk has been made about Bush claiming privilege over the CIA leak case.  Well that talk needs to stop.  There are certain things that the White House must do to keep this country safe and to jeopardize their jobs while we are currently trying to protect the country will allow the country to get the information, but also allow the terrorist to get that information as well (they have computers just like us).  It is really silly  to me.  If we want to play the blame game let's do it once all the cards are on the table.  Right now it seems like the democratic congress just wants to see Bush's hand before the round is over and we all know that's cheating and won't be tolerated in this country.

McCain is Resolute on Iraq

McCain is showing his gusto by continuing to hold to his guns on the Iraq war.  His unwavering nature has started to turn some independents toward him since he beat Obama in the last poll.  Why did he win?  Well I'll tell you, because people are sick of the flip flopping that Obama is doing.  Last week he said he was going to change his policy on Iraq, now he says he is keeping it the same.  Everyone wants straight answers and is starting to realize that the only person in office to get that from is McCain.  So McCain is starting to pull more of the populist vote and starting to prove to this country of unbelievers that he truly is the right person for the highest office.  Strong morals and a stronger character make McCain the honest choice.

Rest Well Tony Snow

Today Tony Snow, former White House Press Secretary, lost his fight against colon cancer and passed away early in the morning.  Mr. Snow was an avid conservative pundit and I always remember him best for not having an issue taking on liberal reporters or commentators.  He had a passion for the party that was unparalleled by anyone I have seen.  It is a sad day for American Politics and the people they serve.  Rest in peace Mr. Snow.

Dems bow to Bush!

Today the Democrats finally broke down and came to the realization that protecting this nation is more important than anything else than can pass legislation on. I know that some people are worried about losing civil liberties, but that is just not the case. The case is that we need laws like FISA to make sure we can spy on those that need to be spied on. Do you silly liberals really think that an FBI agent cares about your personal phone conversation about you cheating on your wife? As sad as that is, they have bigger fish to fry so don't worry so much. I think this t-shirts speaks my mind well.

Jim Webb Makes a good move

Jim Webb, senator from Virginia, has pulled himself from Obama's potential VP list citing that he would like to continue to serve people better in the US Senate. I think we all know what that really means. Webb understands that Obama is already killing himself by making poor campaign decisions and that he is on a gravy train down. Webb is smart, he doesn't want his good name to be associated with that problem. Anyway I think that Webb, even thought he has recently become a dem, is still a good man. I think of him as a young McCain and I could see him as a future president.

Firework Blast out!

So I happened to be on the riverfront for the fireworks display two nights ago and it was truly an experience that brought tears to my eyes.  First off, I hadn't seen fireworks in a long time so I was amazed at the interesting things they've added like ones that look like golden rain in the sky.  But what really got me going was when a boat started playing "Born in the USA" right at the end as they grand-finale of fireworks was going off. It was just so beautiful.  Happy Independence Day everyone!

Right to choose is not the same as the death penalty

Some liberals may wonder how conservatives can both support the death penalty and be pro-life.  What they fail to realize is that it comes down to the simple fact of purity.  A baby is the most pure form of life that god has graced us with on this earth.  It is untainted by suffering, pain and completely open to the world.  Since it had not learned to reason it cannot make decisions for itself and since it has made no decisions it is so pure that it cannot be put at fault for anything.  Therefore, due to the lack of fault that babies have, they should never be slaughtered by unforgiving mothers because there is no causation for their slaughter.  This same rule applies to criminals but in the converse effect.  Criminals have had a lifetime to destroy themselves, others and generally bring pain and suffering into the world.  For that they should be brutally punished.  By punishing them it eliminates the harm in society (which makes it safer for those new souls coming into the world) and sets a new standard of fear for those that might also wish to commit a crime.    By the above logic, this is why it is accepted and preached to practice both the death penalty and be pro-life.

Obama Tempts Religious Vote

So Obama has started to spend some time looking into the Christian vote in the country because he sees that he needs some members of his voting population to be down to earth and have some morals.  So he has started to campaign for these groups, spending money on townhall meetings, commercials, and advertisements.  My question, Obama why are you wasting your time?  Until you switch your position on key issues like abortion, gun control, and religion and state not a single one of us will vote for you.  These are fundamental cores of our belief in a leading member of this country and since you have rejected our stance on these core principles you can be sure you will not get a single vote from the Christian population.  But, hey Obama, if you want to waste your money on me, that is fine. I am already used to tunning out the other 50% of smut on TV, I can tune you out too.
