Rev. WRONG please pester us no longer

I am so tired of this man that I almost feel sorry for Obama...but Obama should have known better than to get involved with an obviously crazy person that still believes he lives in the 1960s.  Anyway, it is just so opsetting to see someone get this much media attention for spewing hate and division in our country.  I just want it gone, I don't want people to think this is how to operate.  I don't children to see it and think this is how to act.  In fact I consider this man to be very childish and I am so upset with the media and democrats for continuing to bring this up.  McCain does not do these things. His personal life is exemplary and therefore does NOT get into the media.  All I want to hear about is policy, not hate and I know that with McCain it will always be that.

Syria and N. Korean

So I am sure everyone has heard the the recent news of the  Syrian Nuclear Rector that was being built with the help of North Korean.  I just can't believe this.  We thought Syria was our friend and now they are doing something in direct opposition with the values we are trying to create in the Middle East.  Not only are they working with a known malicious government, they are using technology that we all know is for impure purposes.  I think we should shift our focus from Iran, who doesn't even have Nuke technology and move to invade Syria who have now proven to be a more realistic threat to the US.

McCain Wins Penn! Time to support with button!

HAHA.  I know, I know he already has the nomination locked, but I couldn't help myself.  At first I didn't much care for McCain, he felt a little too middle of the road to me.  But I am warming to him.  I will tell you what I really like, it's his strength of character.  That man will never lie to this country and will always stand up for what he believe in.  I get supreme confidence when I hear him make decisions because I know he will follow through with his statements.  I am going to start wearing this McCain pinback button in support of him.

Pope Leaves the US

The Pope has left the US from his first tour of the Americas.  It was good to have him here, it helped settle things with the sex scandal and really bring attention to the crumbling church in the US.  One of the things that saddens me more than anything is the lack of attention people give to religion and how it creates better people.  I think if I wasn't raised with a strong religious background I would not be the person that I am today.

Now that the Pope has come again, hopefully people will start to attend more church remembering the moral fiber it brings into their lives.

Polygamy and the TV show Big Love

I think we can all agree that Polygamy is not a good thing for women, children and for the country.  It is barbaric and does not conform to the standard practices and US laws.  Yet some people still practice and sympathize with it.  I think it has a lot to do with television programs out there like Big Love that do the same thing for polygamy that Entourage does for teaching loss morals and excessive drinking (these programs promotes those bad practices).  I know that HBO owns both of these programs and it is nice that they are not widely available to larger audiences but still I don't like how they permiate into popular culutre and influence the decisions and morals of our youth.  Maybe it is time to evaluate what we allow on television.

Democrats Continue to destory from within

So Clinton and Obama have both declined the offer of each other's VP post, further widening the gap in the democratic party.  I guess it is just shocking to see a  party that (sadly) had a chance to win it all, implode with such blind fervor as each side of the party further separates themselves on tiny issues that have little to no difference. Ah well, this means that we will have a true leader like McCain in power. Read the full article on CNN

Lovely Hilary Custom T-shirt

I was walking to the local Safeway (it is only 4 blocks from my house) and I saw a young man wearing this Hilary Custom T-Shirt and couldn’t help but laugh. The democrats are so polar about what and who to believe in that they will end up imploding like always, it is sad in a way. Anyways, I found the shirt image on the internet to share with everyone.

Golf Outing

As an aside, I went golfing yesterday for the first time since college and realize how incredibly terrible I am at it, now in the twilight of my life.  We played 9 holes and I was very tired towards the end.  It’s just interesting, when I played in college I was not good, but I hit the ball well and 18 holes never seemed to bother me, in fact we usually had a few beers along the way.  But now I doubt I could do 18 holes and drinking?  I would probably fall asleep under a shady tree on the 7th.  Oh well, at least it was nice to be outside on a beautiful day.

Global Warming - Does it matter?

OK so I admit that global warming exists, I went and saw the Gore movie.  But the real question is, does it matter?  I mean if the world is already falling apart shouldn't we be doing more to protect ourselves than try to slow it?  Even if the US does stop it's carbon consumption ways that doesn't mean China or India is going to.  I think our work is better spent on homes, clothes, cars and other things that can protect us from the overheated earth.  That way we'll be ahead of the curve and able to keep our dominance in the world with new global warming protective technologies.  Just a thought.

DailyKos

<img src="http://images.dailykos.com/images/admin/w_masthead_wads.jpg" />
I have heard rumblings about this website that it pisses off everyone.  I didn't know that was possible to already be hated by conservatives and then to anger liberals because of a terrible spam policy.  I wonder if there is anyone reading that site that still actually enjoys the content?

The Fed and Bear Stearns

This is my first post so please don't take any mistakes out on me!  Anyways,  There is an interesting article here about the Federal Reserve.  Basically, the fed is a independent institution, separate from the Federal government.  This means that the bail out of Bear Stearns was completely within their right and control and does not need to be justified to the house. Furthermore, by doing this, the money is put back into those that understand the economy the best and allows them to build out the system for the rest of the people that are just trying to get by.
