Don't Let them Change focus

Well I listened to Obama's speech last night and I have one thing to say to all the conservatives out there, don't let them change focus!  We all know that the bloated healthcare bill is just days from being killed if we maintain our focus on it.  The Dems know that as well so they trying to change the focus so they don't have a loss.  Well let's make sure we give them a loss! And one to remember!  Don't lose focus, healthcare is the priority and we need to get rid of that bill.

A Return to Normality - Scott Brown

With the election of Scott Brown now decided and done we can begin to see that the national sense of intelligence is being to return now that the Obama honeymoon is over.  Just over a year from Obama's election we are seeing that people no longer believe his flashy smile and catch phrases that dominated politics for so long.  I for one am very happy to see Scott winning the seat in Mass because it is a return to decency and of course moderate politics.  I like to think that now the Senate is once again balance and will no longer try to force the agenda of one dominate party.  Let's see what a difference Scott Brown makes in this upcoming year - I think we will see good things from him.

Please take a look at this t-shirt.  This store is selling these t-shirts with the proceeds benefiting those that are suffering in Haiti right now.  T-shirts are a great way to express yourself because it helps when you purchase it and it helps spread awareness when you wear the t-shirt around in your daily life.  I think this is a great idea and I hope that you can get one to support the relief effort.

Help Haiti

It is a somber way to welcome in the new year for the people of Haiti as they've recently been rocked by a 7.0 earthquake. Bigger than anything that has hit the United States in recent history. This is bigger than you and I and bigger than politics. We need to lead by example and prove to the world that we are the only super power left because we help out those countries in need like Haiti is now. I hope that the Obama administration moves quickly to help out those suffering.

The Big Bertha!

In case there was any doubt in what I want or need for Christmas this is what it is! I know that I am already going to get one from my brother and I am excited about that because we usually play a round of golf the first day of spring. So I am planning on going to a driving range to practice with it and of course then going to hit the big wood hard coming Spring.

Accenture Drops Tiger

Well Accenture is the first of the tidal wave of sponsors that are sure to start dropping Tiger like dead weight.  I think this is good because they need to protect their brand from the falling brand of Tiger.  He has done so much to harm the companies that supported him the least they can do is drop him and the best they can do is sue him for image infringement.  That's what I think they should do.  Get their money back.

Tiger's Disgrace

I thought that the transgressions committed by Tiger could be something I was able to ignore but after thinking about it for sometime I think it  is something that I must comment on.  If Tiger was a normal person like me it wouldn't matter to the world that he cheated on his wife and hired prostitutes.  But he is not normal.  Because he is an idol and someone that children look up to there is a need for him to hold himself to a higher moral standard.  Tiger needs to understand that his actions go beyond himself and effect many people around the world.  There is no excuse for what he did, but he must try to atone for his sins to show the world the moral and right thing to do.  He must lead by example, now more than ever.

Support Our Troops Button

Even though I think Obama is vastly under preparing our military in Afghanistan I still think it is important to support our troops despite the government that is in place.  Our troops are what keep this country going and help spread the good news of the United States around the world.  This button to me is a perfect example of how to support the troops without supporting the ruling party.

More Boots than Promised

We need more boots on the ground than Obama has promised in Afghanistan. If we're going to get this right there needs to be a serious presence there to effectively destroy the enemy beyond any reason of a doubt. I think we should 60 or 100 thousand additional troops to ensure that this threat is completely neutralized and by doing that helping to keep American families safe.

Democrats Don't Even Want the Health Care Bill

To me it is so impressive that these few leftist liberals are the only ones that want this Senate Health Care bill and are willing to destroy their party to get it.  Even a large group of Democrats think that this bill will do nothing good for the country.  It blows my mind to see so many people destroying good politics because of an ideological agenda.  I think that the middle democrats should join with the Republicans to come up with a sensible reform for health care that saves us all money and gives more people greater benefits.

A worthwhile Republican Bumpersticker

I really like this bumper sticker design because this really sums up how I feel about medicare, welfare, and any other government assistance programs.  I think that people should all have to work and that no one should be allowed to leach off my hard work and the work of others around me.  A system that supports that is doomed to fail and if we don't get off this system we will soon fail.

A Act of Ultimate Shame: Man Impersonates a Marine

To me there are few acts as shameful as impersonating someone else and it gets even worse when the person that you impersonate is a decorated veteran of the Armed Services, a Marine.  The man above, Steven Burton did just that.  He impersonated a Marine to impress people at his High School class reunion.  Just shameful, he tarnished the name of what it means to be a American and live with honor.  I hope that they give him a long prison sentence to ensure that others thinking about doing something like this won't even think twice about it.

Fort Hood Ceremony

My heart goes out to all those that lost someone in the Fort Hood tragedy and I am glad that they had a good ceremony today and that Obama did the right thing in going to Texas to honor those that were slain.  It is a terrible event and I hope that the Army will institute a new policy to make sure that we screen out giving weapons to people like this.  Or even take it one step further and make sure that people like the FBI are doing their job and locking up dangerous people like this shooter.

Drug Lord's Son Ends Violence

I just finished reading this article on Time.com and I really think it is something we should hold up and celebrate. It talks about the son of Pablo Escobar and how he is trying to do good in Columbia to break the legacy of family violence. It is going to take a lot of work but I really appreciate what he is doing in trying to reform his country to make it safe again.
